Father, the Titanic was declared unsinkable and sank in three hours. Human pride met immovable reality and pride lost. Overconfidence in technology replaced humble preparation and 1,500 people died. The "unsinkable" ship proved devastatingly sinkable. I see my own pride in that disaster.
