Friday Prayer: Not Enough, But You Are

Lord, I feel not enough for everything you're calling me toward. Not spiritual enough, not strong enough, not qualified enough. I see what you're asking and I see my inadequacy, and the gap feels impossible to bridge.

But you've never asked me to be enough on my own. You've asked me to bring what I have - my five loaves, my shepherd's staff, my inadequate offering - and trust you to make it sufficient. You've called the unqualified throughout history and qualified them through your presence.

So I'm bringing you my not-enough. My insufficient gifts, my limited capacity, my obvious weaknesses. I'm not waiting until I feel adequate because that day will never come. Instead, I'm offering what I have and trusting you to fill the gap between my inadequacy and your calling. Your grace is sufficient. Your power is made perfect in my weakness. You are enough, and that's all I need.
