Friday Prayer: Trusting the Seasons

Friday Prayer: Trusting the Seasons

Father, you created seasons to mark time and give rhythm to life. You built hope into creation by making winter temporary and spring certain. Every year testifies that darkness doesn't last, death isn't final, dormancy precedes growth. You made the world to remind me that resurrection is real.

I'm in a winter season - spiritually, emotionally, or circumstantially. It feels long, dark, dead. I'm tired of cold, weary of darkness, ready for spring. But you haven't abandoned winter; you're using it. Seeds need winter's rest before spring's growth. Soil needs freeze-thaw cycles. Even winter serves your purposes.

Help me trust the season I'm in instead of resenting it. Give me patience to wait for spring without despair, faith to believe darkness is temporary, hope to anticipate resurrection even while winter lingers. Today marks light's victory - from this day forward, darkness loses ground daily. You built that promise into creation. Help me believe it applies to my life too. Winter doesn't last forever. Spring is coming.
