Monday Prayer: Confession of Envy

God, I confess my envy. I've been comparing my life to others' lives and finding mine lacking. I've been coveting blessings you gave them while minimizing blessings you gave me. I've let envy poison my joy, embitter my heart, and blind me to my own gifts.

Forgive me for treating your distribution of blessings as unfair. Forgive me for assuming others' good fortune means my deprivation. Forgive me for letting comparison steal my contentment. Today I choose gratitude over envy, trust over comparison, contentment over covetousness. Help me celebrate others' blessings without feeling diminished by them. Your provision for me is exactly right for me, and that's enough.
