Monday Prayer: Facing Fears

Father, you know what I'm afraid of because you know me completely. You see the fears I voice and the ones I hide, the rational concerns and the irrational terrors. You don't shame me for being afraid; you strengthen me to move forward anyway.

Give me courage for what lies ahead - not the absence of fear, but faith that's stronger than my fear. Help me remember that your perfect love casts out fear, that your presence makes me braver than I feel. When I want to run, hold me steady. When I want to hide, push me forward. Let my faith be bigger than my fear, my trust louder than my anxiety. I don't need to be fearless; I just need to be faithful.
