Monday Prayer: Faithful in the Middle

Monday Prayer: Faithful in the Middle

Father, I'm in the middle - between promise and fulfillment, between dream and reality, between what was and what will be. The middle feels longer than I expected, harder than I imagined, less dramatic than I'd prefer. I'm tempted to quit, to give up on promises that seem delayed, to doubt whether you really spoke or I imagined it.

Help me stay faithful in the middle. Give me patience to keep going when excitement has faded. Give me trust to believe when circumstances suggest you've forgotten. Give me endurance to continue when progress is invisible. The middle is where real faith develops - not in dramatic beginnings or triumphant endings, but in long stretches of ordinary faithfulness.

Remind me that the middle isn't wasted time. It's where character forms, where faith deepens, where I become who you intend me to be. I might die in the middle, never seeing promises fulfilled. But that doesn't make the middle meaningless. You're with me here. That's enough to keep going. Help me be faithful in the middle.
