Monday Prayer: Holy Monday

Jesus, you cursed the fig tree for having impressive leaves but no actual fruit, and I see myself in that image. I maintain religious appearance - church attendance, prayer habits, theological knowledge - but produce little fruit that actually reflects your character. I look spiritual from a distance but barren up close.

Forgive my hypocrisy, my focus on appearance over substance, my careful cultivation of external religion while neglecting internal transformation. Forgive the energy I spend making myself look faithful while avoiding the hard work of actually becoming faithful. I'm showing leaves without producing fruit.

Do whatever it takes to make me fruitful. Prune what needs removing, fertilize what needs strengthening, cultivate genuine transformation instead of religious performance. I don't want to just look spiritual - I want to actually be transformed. Make me fruitful, not just leafy.
