Monday Prayer: Kingdom First

Lord Jesus, you are my King before any earthly leader, my country is heaven before any nation on earth, my allegiance is to your kingdom before any political party. Forgive me when I've confused patriotism with discipleship, when I've made political identity more important than Christian identity.

Help me love my country without worshiping it, serve my nation without making it ultimate. Teach me to work for justice and seek the welfare of the city while remembering my citizenship is primarily in heaven. When political passions rise, keep my kingdom priorities clear. When elections create division, let your kingdom create unity among your people. I'm your servant first, a citizen second. Let that order never be reversed.
