Monday Prayer: Simple Truth

Monday Prayer: Simple Truth

Jesus, you taught profound truth using simple words - seeds and sheep, bread and light, things anyone could understand. You didn't complicate the gospel or hide it behind religious language. You made it accessible to fishermen, children, tax collectors, outcasts.

Forgive me when I make faith more complicated than you did. When I use Christian jargon that obscures instead of clarifies, when I value sounding smart over being understood, when I hide behind theological vocabulary instead of speaking plainly about what you've done in my life.

Give me words to share you with others - simple, clear, genuine words that come from experience, not expertise. Help me tell what I know in ways people can understand. You loved me, saved me, changed me. That's the story. Help me tell it simply, powerfully, truthfully. Strip away everything that doesn't matter and let the simple gospel shine.
