Lord, you've given me exactly one day—today. Not yesterday with its regrets, not tomorrow with its anxieties, just this single sacred day. You've packed it with opportunity, mercy, and possibility. Help me steward it well.
I spent too much of today either replaying yesterday or rehearsing tomorrow. I let regret about the past steal joy from the present. I let anxiety about the future rob peace from this moment. I missed gifts you placed right in front of me because I was looking backward or forward. Thank you for the mercy that this day held, for breath in my lungs and chances to start fresh. Thank you for every moment I did manage to be present, every conversation where I actually listened, every glimpse of your goodness I noticed.
Teach me to number my days wisely, to live fully in the one I've been given. Help me release yesterday's mistakes and tomorrow's worries so I can embrace today's grace. When my mind wanders to what was or what might be, anchor me in what is. Tonight, I'm grateful for this day—ordinary and extraordinary, challenging and blessed, exactly what you knew I needed. Tomorrow will bring its own grace, but for now, today was enough.
