Monday Prayer: True Identity
Father, I've been measuring myself against standards that aren't yours - beauty standards I can't meet, success metrics I'll never achieve, identity markers that shift with culture. I've been trying to become who the world says I should be instead of who you've already made me.
Renew my mind. Change what I'm beholding so it changes what I'm becoming. Help me see myself as you see me - chosen, beloved, complete in Christ. Not lacking anything essential, not needing to earn your love, not required to meet impossible standards to be valuable.
When I look in the mirror, let me see your image-bearer. When I evaluate my life, let me measure against your standards, not culture's. When I question my worth, remind me whose I am. I am yours, fully loved, completely accepted, infinitely valuable. That's my identity. Help me believe it.
