I've been carrying this hurt like armor, letting bitterness make me feel strong when really it's making me small. I've been rehearsing their wrongs, choosing to stay wounded because forgiveness feels like letting them win. Thank you for the forgiveness you keep pouring over me - fresh every morning, deeper than my failures. Thank you for showing me that forgiveness isn't about them deserving it, but about me being free.
Give me the courage to release what they owe me. Help me forgive not because they've changed, but because you have changed me. Let your mercy flow through me until it reaches the places in my heart I thought were too damaged to heal. I want to be free more than I want to be right.
