Sunday Prayer: Seeing Image-Bearers
Father, you created male and female in your image - both equally bearing your likeness, both fully human, both infinitely valuable. Forgive me when I've diminished women, when I've assumed less of them, when I've treated them as less than full image-bearers.
Help me see every woman I encounter as you see her - beloved, valuable, gifted, called. Teach me to honor women's voices, respect their leadership, celebrate their gifts. Where I've been blind to ways women are minimized, open my eyes. Where I've participated in systems that diminish them, give me courage to change.
Whether I'm male or female, help me see all people through your eyes - not through cultural categories or power hierarchies, but as image-bearers equally loved, equally valuable, equally called to serve you with all their gifts. You see us clearly. Help me see others the same way.
