Sunday Prayer: Staying Present

Father, my mind is everywhere except right here, right now. I'm trapped in regrets about yesterday and anxieties about tomorrow, mentally time-traveling to every moment except this one. I'm borrowing trouble from futures that may never happen, exhausting myself with problems I'm not currently facing.

Bring me back to now. Help me release what's behind and trust you with what's ahead so I can fully inhabit this present moment. Give me grace for today - not tomorrow, just today. Help me stop trying to secure futures you haven't given me and start trusting you'll be there when I arrive. Today's challenges are enough; don't let me compound them with imagined tomorrows. Anchor me here, in this moment, in your presence, in your sufficient grace. Right now is all I need to handle, and you're giving me what I need for right now.
