Father, August is over. Tomorrow begins September, a new month, a new season. I'm ending this month with gratitude for what you've taught - about your power through weakness, your love for enemies, your joy despite circumstances. Thank you for faithfulness through thirty-one days of summer

August 31st marks the end of the month and the end of summer. In much of the Northern Hemisphere, late August brings transition - back to school, end of vacation, preparation for fall. There's bittersweetness to August's end - summer is over, routine returns, days will shorten quickly now.

My mercies are new every morning; great is My faithfulness. August's failures don't carry into September. Today's exhaustion doesn't determine tomorrow's strength. Each morning brings fresh mercy, new grace, another opportunity to trust Me. Start tomorrow fresh. My compassions never fail.
