Thursday Prayer: When It Doesn't Feel Real

Jesus, you rose from the dead four days ago. Easter happened. Victory was secured. Death was defeated. I believe this theologically, but I don't feel it experientially. My circumstances haven't changed. My struggles continue. My pain persists. Resurrection is true, but it doesn't feel real to me right now.

Thank you that faith doesn't depend on feelings. Thank you that truth remains true whether I feel it or not. Thank you that your promises don't require my constant emotional validation. Help me trust what's true even when it doesn't feel true.

Teach me to access resurrection power in ways I might not expect - not dramatic victory feelings but quiet strength to persevere, unexpected peace in difficulty, surprising ability to love and forgive. You're working even when I don't feel you working. Your power is real even when I don't experience it dramatically. Help me trust the resurrection I believe more than the defeat I feel.
