Lord, my attention is everywhere except where it should be. I'm distracted by my phone, my worries, my endless to-do lists, everything except you. I've given you leftover attention instead of first attention, distracted moments instead of focused worship. Forgive my fragmented focus. Help
Lord, my attention is everywhere except where it should be. I'm distracted by my phone, my worries, my endless to-do lists, everything except you. I've given you leftover attention instead of first attention, distracted moments instead of focused worship.
Forgive my fragmented focus. Help me reclaim my attention from the thousand things competing for it and fix it on you. Teach me to be present - fully present - in this moment rather than mentally scattered across past regrets and future anxieties. When distractions pull at me, give me the discipline to return my gaze to you. I want to walk on water, but I keep staring at waves. Help me keep my eyes on you.
