Tuesday Prayer: Humble Confidence

Father, I'm certain about some things - that you exist, that Jesus saves, that your Word is true, that your promises are reliable. Give me confidence in these foundational truths that doesn't waver when circumstances challenge them.

But I've also been arrogantly certain about things I don't fully understand. I've elevated my interpretations to the level of gospel truth, dismissed perspectives that differ from mine, and assumed my understanding is complete. Forgive my proud certainty that masquerades as faith.

Teach me to hold core convictions firmly while maintaining humility about mysteries I can't fully grasp. I want confidence in who you are alongside humility about what I can't comprehend. Keep me teachable, open to correction, willing to reconsider interpretations while remaining anchored to unchanging truth. I know in part. Keep me humble about that reality.
