Tuesday Prayer: In the Furnace

Jesus, you understand what it's like to be tested by fire - you faced the ultimate trial on the cross. You know what it costs to trust the Father when circumstances scream that you're abandoned. You walked through the flames before asking me to.

I'm in a trial that feels like fire right now, and I don't understand why you haven't delivered me yet. I know you could change this instantly, but you haven't. Help me trust you in the flames, worship you in the heat, believe you're good when I can't see the good you're working. I don't need you to remove the fire; I need you to be in it with me. That's enough.
