Wednesday Prayer: Give Me Strength to Walk
Father, I'm not soaring right now. I'm not running. I'm barely walking - putting one foot in front of the other, making it through each day with no energy for anything impressive. This feels like failure compared to when I soared. But you promise strength for walking, not just soaring. Help me trust that walking, though unimpressive, is still progress, still faithfulness, still enough.
I'm depleted. I need renewal. I've been pushing through on fumes instead of stopping to receive from you. Help me wait on you long enough for you to renew what's been drained. Give me strength appropriate to what this season requires - even if it's just steady walking rather than spectacular soaring.
Adjust my expectations to match my capacity. When walking is all I can manage, help me walk without despising it because I'm not flying. Different seasons require different capacities. You provide strength for each. Right now, give me strength to walk faithfully even when it's not impressive. That's enough.
