Wednesday Prayer: You Already Know Me

God, you are the one who knows me completely and loves me anyway. As darkness falls outside, you remain my constant light. You've been with me through every hour of this day, closer than my own breath.

I've been trying to run the world again today - my little corner of it, anyway. Acting like everything depends on me, forgetting that you're the one holding it all together. I've been quick to speak and slow to listen, certain I knew best. How patient you are with me when I pretend I don't need you. Thank you for the way you keep showing up, especially in the moments I didn't deserve it. Thank you for the grace that caught me before I even knew I was falling.

Tomorrow is already in your hands, and I need your help with all of it - the conversations I'm dreading, the work that feels too big, the decisions I don't know how to make. Give me what I need when I need it. But tonight, I'm choosing to trust that you're already there, preparing the way. My hands are open. What I couldn't fix today, what I can't control tomorrow - it's yours. Let me sleep knowing you never do.
