Friday Prayer: When Anger Burns

Lord, you understand righteous anger - you overturned tables when your Father's house was misused, wept over hardened hearts, felt indignation at injustice. You show me that anger itself isn't sin, but what I do with it can be. Teach me to channel this fire wisely.

Anger consumed more of my day than I care to admit. I let someone's carelessness ignite my fury, held onto grudges that burned hotter than they deserved. I've been quick to anger and slow to listen, letting rage drive decisions that love should make. I know this anger is often just hurt wearing armor, pain dressed up as power. Thank you for your patience with my explosive moments, for love that doesn't keep score of my outbursts, for grace that covers even my worst responses.

Help me feel anger without being ruled by it. Give me wisdom to know what deserves my energy and what deserves my release. When injustice stirs my heart, channel that passion into action that honors you. Tonight, I lay down every bitter thought, every vengeful desire.
