Monday Prayer: Create Hunger in Me

Father, I've lost my spiritual appetite. I consume religious content constantly but feel malnourished. I attend services, participate in programs, maintain Christian routines - but I'm empty inside. I've filled myself with substitutes that don't satisfy, numbed my hunger with entertainment and distraction.

Forgive me for preferring comfortable garbage to divine sustenance, familiar distractions to your presence. I've been so full of lesser things that I can't taste how good you are. Create hunger in me for what actually nourishes - your presence, your word, your transforming power.

Help me fast from substitutes long enough to feel my real hunger. When I reach for distraction, redirect me toward you. When I numb myself with entertainment, awaken me to deeper need. Let me hunger for you like dying person hungers for water, like starving person hungers for food. You promise to fill those who hunger. Make me hungry enough to be filled.

My Presence Goes With You

My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest. You're not walking alone. You're not figuring this out by yourself. I'm with you - in the ordinary moments, the difficult decisions, the uncertain paths. My presence is the promise. My presence is enough.
