Monday Prayer: Geography and Grace
Father, I'm Christian largely because I was born in a Christian context - raised in a Christian family, surrounded by Christian culture, exposed to Christian teaching from childhood. If I'd been born in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, or India, I'd likely believe something completely different. This isn't my achievement; it's your grace and my inheritance.
Humble me about my faith's origins while deepening my conviction about its truth. I didn't choose Christianity through pure rational analysis - I was shaped by circumstances you ordained. Thank you for placing me where I'd encounter you, for using family and culture to bring me to faith, for sovereign grace that positioned me to hear the gospel.
Help me respect people of other faiths without compromising Christian truth. My Muslim neighbor, Hindu coworker, Buddhist friend - they were shaped by their context just as I was shaped by mine. Give me compassion for them, boldness to share Christ with them, and humility to acknowledge that I'm Christian by grace, not merit. Use me to bring your gospel across geographic boundaries so others can encounter the Savior who transcends all cultures, nations, and contexts.
