Monday Prayer: Mid-Summer Endurance

Monday Prayer: Mid-Summer Endurance

Father, I'm in the long middle and I'm tired. Summer's novelty is gone, fall feels far away, and nothing is changing. I'm tired of the same routine, the same struggles, the same unanswered prayers. I'm tempted to quit trying, to coast through the rest of summer, to wait for fresh start energy that might come in September.

But quitting guarantees I won't see what perseverance produces. The harvest comes at your timing, not mine. My job is not giving up before it arrives. Help me endure when endurance isn't exciting. Let me stay faithful when faithfulness feels repetitive. Give me strength for one more day, one more prayer, one more act of obedience.

I don't need to feel motivated to continue. I don't need to see progress to keep going. I just need to trust your character - that you're faithful even when I don't feel strong, working even when I can't see progress, producing harvest even when fields look barren. I'm not quitting in the middle. Give me endurance for this unremarkable season. The proper time will come. Help me keep going until it does.
