Monday Prayer: Present to the Present

Father, two days remain in September. I'm already making October plans, thinking about what's next, living in future while present remains incomplete. I'm treating these last days as transition time, waiting room for the next thing. That's wrong. These days matter. They're September's completion, not October's prelude.

Teach me to be present to the present. Show me what needs attention in these final two days - phone calls to make, apologies to speak, confessions to voice, gratitude to express. Or maybe just presence to ordinary moments, engaging fully with what is instead of what's next.

Let me not waste September's end rushing toward October's beginning. Each day has enough purpose without borrowing the next day's concerns. Help me finish September present to September. October can wait until October. Right now, I'm here. Help me be fully here.
