Saturday Prayer: October's End

Father, October is over. Thirty-one days complete. The month didn't go as planned. I failed in ways I hoped I wouldn't. Goals remain unachieved. Growth seems minimal. By performance metrics, October looks like failure.

But your metrics differ from mine. You measure faithfulness, not achievement. Your compassions never failed these thirty-one days even when mine did. Your mercies renewed every morning even when my faithfulness didn't. You were faithful every October day. That's enough.

Thank you for patience with my failures, grace covering my weaknesses, love never wavering despite my inconsistency. October taught me things I needed to learn - about your character, my limitations, where I need growth. Don't let me waste these lessons.

Tomorrow begins November. New month, same faithful God. The calendar changes. You don't. Help me carry forward what October taught. Your faithfulness brought me through October. It will carry me through November too. That's sufficient for tomorrow.

Your evening prayer will be waiting for you right here when you check back in.
