Saturday Prayer: Philip's Obedience
Father, Philip left revival in Samaria for one person in the desert. You redirected him from visible success to obscure obedience. He explained Scripture to an Ethiopian eunuch who couldn't understand it alone. He crossed ethnic barriers, cultural divisions, and religious exclusions to bring the gospel to outcasts. Then you supernaturally transported him to continue evangelizing elsewhere.
Give me Philip's obedience to leave success for your direction. Give me his willingness to invest in one person even if it costs me the crowds. Give me his boldness to cross barriers that seem insurmountable. Give me his skill to explain Scripture clearly so people understand how it points to Jesus.
Show me my desert road - the place you're sending me that seems less impressive than where I am. Show me my Ethiopian eunuch - the one person you want me to reach. I want measurable ministry success. But you call me to faithful obedience regardless of metrics. Help me value what you value - individuals over numbers, quality over quantity, obedience over results. Send me. I'll go.
