Saturday Prayer: Unlikely Conversions

Jesus, you appeared to Saul on the Damascus road when he was traveling to arrest your followers. He was your enemy, actively working to destroy your church. Yet you confronted him, converted him, and commissioned him. The persecutor became apostle. The destroyer became builder. The enemy became brother.

I have people in my life who seem unreachable - too hostile, too hardened, too far gone. I've stopped praying for their conversion because it seems impossible. But Saul seemed impossible too. If you could reach him, you can reach anyone. Renew my faith to pray for impossible conversions.

Thank you that my own conversion was unlikely too. I was lost, blind, convinced I could see. You had to remove my false confidence before giving me true sight. You pursued me when I wasn't pursuing you. You reached me when I seemed unreachable. Do the same for the Sauls in my life. Nothing is impossible for you.
