Sunday Prayer: The Challenge of Change

God, you are the same yesterday, today, and forever - my anchor in a world that never stops shifting. You remain constant while everything else transforms around me. In your unchanging nature, I find the stability my soul craves.

Change has been knocking at my door again, and I've been deadbolting it shut, pretending I don't hear. I like my routines, my predictable rhythms, the safety of knowing what comes next. I've been resisting what you might be calling me toward because unknown feels dangerous. Thank you for the changes that grew me even when I fought them, for new seasons that brought unexpected gifts, for your presence that makes every transition sacred.

Give me courage to embrace what you're doing in my life, even when I can't see where it leads. Help me trust that you're not taking me somewhere you won't sustain me. When change feels overwhelming, remind me that you're the God who makes all things new. Tonight, I place my fear of the unknown in your unchanging hands. Lead me forward with confidence in your goodness.
