Sunday Prayer: When Plans Fall Apart
Father, my plans are collapsing and I'm scrambling to adapt. I prepared carefully, prayed earnestly, pursued faithfully - and it's still falling apart. I'm tempted to conclude that planning is pointless, that I should just passively wait for you to make things happen. But I know that's not wise stewardship either.
Help me find the balance between planning and presumption. Teach me to plan as if outcomes depend on wisdom, while trusting as if outcomes depend on you - because they do depend on you. Give me wisdom to make good plans, humility to hold them loosely, and faith to trust you're establishing steps even when they're different from my planned course.
What looks like collapsed plans to me might be divine redirection toward something better than I imagined. Help me follow where you lead, even when it's not where I planned to go. My job isn't forcing plans to succeed. It's remaining faithful while you establish the steps.
