Lord, you are the source of every good gift, the one who defines true success not by what I achieve but by how faithfully I follow. You measure greatness by love, not by ladders climbed or accolades earned. In your kingdom, the last are first and the servant is greatest.
I reached a goal today that I thought would feel better than this. Success tasted more like dust than celebration, and I'm confused by the emptiness where satisfaction should be. I've been chasing achievements thinking they'd fill the void inside me, but they're just pretty bandages over heart-wounds. Thank you for the hollow victories that remind me nothing earthly can satisfy what only you can fill, for success that points beyond itself to the only approval that truly matters - yours.
Help me find my worth in your love, not in my accomplishments. Teach me to receive success with gratitude and humility, knowing it's all grace. When achievements feel empty, remind me that my true treasure is stored in heaven. Tonight, I surrender my need for worldly success, choosing instead to succeed at loving you and loving others. That's the only success that satisfies.
