Tuesday Prayer: Choosing Integrity

Father, Richardson and Ruckelshaus sacrificed positions rather than compromise integrity. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego risked the furnace rather than worship idols. They chose right over safe, conscience over career, obedience over outcome. I want that courage. But I compromise constantly - choosing convenience over integrity, comfort over conscience.
Show me where I'm participating in wrong because resisting seems too costly. Where am I silent about truth because speaking might create problems? Where am I cooperating with evil because refusing might cost position, relationship, or comfort? These are my Saturday Night Massacres - moments where I choose between integrity and self-interest.
Give me courage to choose well. Help me refuse wrong even when refusing costs everything. Integrity costs something. But compromise costs more. Richardson and Ruckelshaus lost their jobs but kept their honor. The three friends risked the furnace but met Jesus there. What I lose for integrity, you'll redeem. What I compromise for convenience, I've truly lost. Help me choose integrity.
Your evening prayer will be waiting for you right here when you check back in.
