Tuesday Prayer: Learning Solitude
Father, I'm uncomfortable with silence. I fill every moment with noise - podcasts, music, conversations, scrolling. I stay perpetually connected, constantly available, always engaged. I fear solitude because I'm uncomfortable with myself and uncertain whether your presence alone is enough for me.
Bruno teaches me differently. He chose solitude over influence, silence over speech, obscurity over impact. He discovered that your presence filled what the world's absence left empty. I need to learn that. I need space where you can speak without competition from every other voice demanding my attention.
Help me cultivate silence. Show me where I could practice solitude - turning off my phone for a day, spending an evening in complete silence, taking a walk without earbuds. I don't need to retreat to the mountains, but I do need to create space where you can speak and I can hear. Teach me that your presence is enough when nobody else is around. That's what Bruno discovered. I want to discover it too.
