Tuesday Prayer: Nothing Is Unsinkable

Father, the Titanic was declared unsinkable and sank in three hours. Human pride met immovable reality and pride lost. Overconfidence in technology replaced humble preparation and 1,500 people died. The "unsinkable" ship proved devastatingly sinkable.

I see my own pride in that disaster. I treat relationships as unsinkable - assuming they'll always be there. I treat health as invincible - ignoring warnings, skipping precautions. I treat plans as certain - building futures on assumptions rather than acknowledging you determine outcomes. Forgive my arrogant confidence in temporary things.

Teach me humility without paranoia, proper caution without constant fear. Help me prepare wisely while trusting you ultimately. Nothing human is unsinkable. Nothing mortal is guaranteed. Only you are eternal, unchanging, completely reliable. Help me build my life on the only foundation that cannot fail - you. Everything else is temporary. You alone are permanent.
