Wednesday Prayer: Ordinary Time
Father, April is ending and I'm in ordinary time - after Easter's celebration, before Pentecost's power, during routine days that feel mundane. I confess I struggle to maintain resurrection awareness when life feels ordinary. I chase spiritual highs instead of encountering you in everyday moments.
Teach me to practice your presence in ordinary time - in commutes and conversations, in work and rest, in frustration and boredom. Help me recognize resurrection power sustaining me through ordinary Tuesdays, not just energizing me during Easter services. You're present in the mundane. Help me notice you there.
Don't let me waste ordinary time wishing for extraordinary moments. Use this space between major events to prepare me for what's next. You're working even when I can't see dramatic evidence. Your presence persists even when I don't feel emotionally elevated. Ordinary time is holy ground when you're present. Open my eyes to see you here.
