Wednesday Prayer: September's End
Father, September is over. Thirty days complete. I started this month with intentions - most unfulfilled. I had goals - many unaccomplished. I made commitments - several broken. I wanted to grow - and did, though not how I expected. Thank you for faithfulness through every day.
Thank you that your mercies never failed these thirty days. Thank you that your compassions renewed every morning even when my faithfulness didn't. Thank you for grace covering failures while empowering what faithfulness I managed. Thank you for presence when you felt absent and power when I felt weak.
Help me carry September's lessons into October. Show me what needs to continue, what should stop, what new thing you're calling me toward. Don't let me waste what September taught by just moving on without reflection. The month wasn't wasted if I learned what it offered.
Tomorrow brings October - new month, fresh mercies, another opportunity to trust your faithfulness. The calendar changes but you don't. September's God is October's God. Your character remains constant. Your promises stay true. Your faithfulness doesn't fluctuate with months. New month, same faithful God. That's enough.
