Wednesday Prayer: Stewards of Creation

Father, you created the earth and called it good. You gave humanity dominion - not to dominate but to steward, not to exploit but to care for. I confess I've often treated creation carelessly, consuming mindlessly, wasting what you provided, prioritizing convenience over care.

Forgive my failed stewardship. Forgive when I've worshiped creation (making it ultimate) or abused it (treating it as mere resource). Help me hold proper tension - respecting creation as yours while recognizing my unique role as image-bearer charged with its care.

Teach me to steward well what you've entrusted to me. Help me consume thoughtfully, waste minimally, consider long-term impact of present choices. The earth is yours. Everything in it belongs to you. I'm just a temporary resident, accountable for how I treat what's yours. Make me a faithful steward.
