Friday Prayer: One Week Left
Father, one week from tomorrow October ends. I have eight days left. That's all the October I'm getting. Paul faced his final week in prison, knowing execution was imminent. He didn't waste it. He invested in Timothy, addressed practical needs, forgave those who deserted him, and testified to your faithfulness. I'm not facing execution, but I am facing the end of October.
Show me what matters most in this final week. Help me invest in someone else's future through simple encouragement or practical help. Show me what practical needs I should address - the cleaning, fixing, or handling I've postponed. Reveal what bitterness I need to release - who deserted or disappointed me that I need to forgive. Give me opportunity to testify to your faithfulness - how you've sustained me through October's difficulties.
One week isn't much time. But it's what I have. Don't let me waste it. Help me use it purposefully. Let October end well. One week is enough if I use it right.
