Monday Prayer: Embracing the Cross

Father, the cross is foolishness to the world but power to me. What looked like shameful defeat was actually glorious victory. What seemed like weakness was actually strength. What appeared foolish was actually wisdom. You work through what the world rejects - weakness, suffering, sacrifice, service.

I'm tempted to pursue worldly success through strength, wisdom, and impressive achievements. But you call me to kingdom faithfulness through weakness, foolishness, and cross-shaped service. Help me embrace the cross's wisdom even when it looks foolish. Help me trust the cross's power even when it looks weak.

Where you're calling me to sacrifice, give me courage to give. Where you're calling me to weakness, help me trust your strength. Where you're calling me to what looks foolish, help me trust your wisdom. The cross redefines success, power, and victory. Let me walk its path. What looks like defeat is where you win.
