Monday Prayer: May Ends
Father, May is ending. This month I walked from Ascension to Pentecost, from Jesus leaving to the Spirit coming, from waiting to breakthrough. I learned about your timing - perfect even when it feels slow. I learned about waiting - purposeful preparation, not wasted time. I learned about community - essential for the journey. I learned about your faithfulness - you keep your promises.
Thank you for this month of preparation. The disciples waited ten days between Ascension and Pentecost. I've waited longer for some promises. But May taught me that delay has purpose, that waiting prepares me, that your timing is perfect even when I can't see it.
As June begins tomorrow, help me move from waiting to witnessing, from preparation to proclamation, from receiving to releasing. The Spirit who fell at Pentecost empowers me today. The Jesus who commissioned them commissions me. The mission continues. I've been prepared through May's waiting. Now empower me for June's witness. I will be your witness - in my Jerusalem, my Judea, my Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. You promised. The Spirit came. I'm ready. Send me.
