Saturday Prayer: Pentecost Has Come

Father, today the Spirit fell. Violent wind filled the house. Tongues of fire rested on believers. People spoke languages they'd never learned. Peter preached. Three thousand believed and were baptized. The church was born in power. Everything the disciples waited for, everything Jesus promised - it all happened today.

Thank you for fulfilling your promises. Thank you that twelve days of faithful waiting resulted in explosive breakthrough. Thank you that what seemed delayed was actually perfectly timed. The disciples didn't know they were one day away on Saturday. But you knew. You knew exactly when to pour out your Spirit.

Fill me with your Spirit like you filled them. Give me power to witness like you gave them. Use me to reach people like you used Peter. The same Spirit who fell then is available now. The same power that launched the church empowers believers today. Pour out your Spirit on me. Make me your witness. Use me to reach people who need to hear about Jesus. Happy Pentecost. Come, Holy Spirit. You've come. Keep coming.
