Saturday Prayer: Unnamed Faithfulness

Saturday Prayer: Unnamed Faithfulness

Father, "the women" were in the upper room - unnamed, unacknowledged, but essential. They'd funded Jesus's ministry, stayed at the cross when others fled, witnessed resurrection first, and now prayed with other believers waiting for your Spirit. Most of them aren't named in Scripture, but you know every one. Their faithfulness mattered enormously even when human history didn't record it.

Help me serve faithfully whether acknowledged or overlooked, whether named or anonymous, whether recognized or invisible. I want credit for my contributions, acknowledgment for my service, documentation of my faithfulness. But the unnamed women teach that your knowledge is enough, that your approval matters more than human recognition, that faithfulness counts regardless of fame.

Give me their persistence in serving behind the scenes, their courage to stay when others flee, their willingness to support others' visible ministry while remaining invisible themselves. I don't need my name recorded in history books. I need your "well done" when I see you face to face. That's enough. Make me faithfully unnamed like these women.
