Thursday Prayer: Faithful in This Season
Father, I've been chasing balance - equal time for work, family, health, relationships, spiritual growth, rest. But balance is impossible. Life doesn't cooperate with neat divisions. Different seasons demand different priorities. I've felt guilty about what I'm neglecting, anxious about what I can't maintain, exhausted trying to do everything equally.
Forgive my pursuit of the wrong goal. You don't call me to balance - you call me to faithfulness in the season I'm in. Help me discern what this season requires and be faithful there, even if other areas temporarily decrease. Give me wisdom to recognize when seasons change and adjust accordingly.
Free me from guilt about necessary imbalance. If this is parenting season, help me focus there without shame about paused career. If this is work season, help me give focused effort without guilt about decreased leisure. If this is caregiving season, help me serve faithfully without resentment about compressed personal time. You're sovereign over all seasons. Help me be faithful in this one.
