Thursday Prayer: Small Beginnings

Thursday Prayer: Small Beginnings

Father, you started the church with 120 people in one room. Not armies, institutions, or powerful leaders - just ordinary people who'd encountered Jesus and were waiting for promised power. I despise small beginnings, assuming they won't matter. But you consistently use small things to accomplish massive purposes.

Forgive my impatience with small starts, my dismissal of modest opportunities, my assumption that visible size determines actual significance. You measure differently. Mustard seeds, yeast portions, 120 people - these are your preferred starting points. Faithfulness matters more than size.

Help me be faithful in small things, trusting you'll do what only you can do. I don't need massive platform or impressive resources. I need obedience to what you've commanded, positioning where you've placed me, and trust that you're working even when results seem insignificant. You turned 120 into thousands, then millions. You can work with my small beginning too. I'm available. Do with it what only you can.
