Thursday Prayer: When You Feel Absent

God, you feel absent. I pray and hear nothing. I read Scripture and feel nothing. I worship and sense nothing. You seem distant, silent, gone. I don't know what I've done wrong or why you've withdrawn. I'm still showing up, still obeying, still trying - yet you feel completely absent.

Help me remember that feeling and reality aren't the same. You promise never to leave or forsake me. Your presence doesn't depend on my ability to sense it. You're present whether I feel it or not, working whether I perceive it or not, faithful whether I sense it or not.

Give me endurance to keep showing up even when I feel nothing. Let me trust your character when I can't trace your hand, believe your goodness when I can't see your purposes, hope in you when you seem absent. Don't let me abandon faith when feelings fade. You're present even in this darkness. Help me trust that truth when I can't feel it.
