Tuesday Prayer: Mary's Faith

Tuesday Prayer: Mary's Faith

Father, Mary was ordinary - young, poor, from nowhere important, with no credentials or qualifications. Yet you chose her for the most important assignment in human history: bearing your Son. She said yes to the impossible, trusted you when your plan made no sense, submitted when obedience was costly. Her faith confronts my hesitation.

You're calling me to things that seem impossible, assignments beyond my capacity, tasks I'm not qualified for. Like Mary, I'm asking "How can this be?" But you say nothing is impossible with you. Help me trust that promise. Give me Mary's faith - to believe your word when circumstances suggest otherwise, to obey when I can't see how it will work out, to say yes when you call.

I'm not extraordinary. But you don't need extraordinary - you need available. Mary's qualification was her submission, not her perfection. Help me stop waiting until I'm more qualified, more capable, more ready. You're calling now. Let me answer like Mary: "I am the Lord's servant. May your word to me be fulfilled." Whatever impossible thing you're asking - yes.
