Tuesday Prayer: True Revolution
Father, human history is littered with failed revolutions that promised freedom and delivered tyranny. We keep thinking that changing external structures will fix internal problems, that new political systems will cure old human sins. But the real problem is the human heart - deceitful, broken, desperately needing transformation that politics can't provide.
Thank you that Jesus didn't lead political revolution but spiritual one. He didn't storm government buildings - he transformed human hearts. He didn't overthrow Caesar - he defeated sin and death. His revolution works from the inside out, changing people one surrendered heart at a time. That's slower than armed revolt, less dramatic than Bastille Day, but it's what actually lasts.
Help me work for justice without expecting political solutions to cure spiritual problems. Let me advocate for good laws while recognizing that laws can't transform hearts. Give me patience for the slow work of gospel-centered transformation. The revolution I need isn't political - it's spiritual. Change my heart, then use me to help change others. That's the revolution that endures.
