Wednesday Prayer: Morning Mercy

Father, I woke up this morning and immediately started thinking about everything I need to do, everything I'm worried about, everything that's hard. I skipped past the miracle of waking at all and jumped straight to the burdens. Forgive my ingratitude for the gift of a new day.

Thank you that your mercies are new this morning. Yesterday's failures don't carry over. Yesterday's exhaustion doesn't determine today's strength. Yesterday's mistakes aren't this morning's identity. You've given fresh grace, renewed strength, another opportunity to trust you.

Help me receive this day as gift rather than burden, as mercy rather than obligation. Don't let me waste it on worry or trivial distractions. Give me wisdom to invest these hours in what matters eternally. You've made this day. Help me rejoice and be glad in it. That's enough. You're enough. This morning is enough to start again.
