Tuesday Prayer: Two Days Until Ascension

Jesus, two days from now you'll ascend to the Father. Your last command was to wait - not to act immediately but to pause for promised power. This challenges my action-oriented approach. I want to do something, start something, accomplish something. But you told them to wait in Jerusalem for the Spirit.

Help me trust that waiting can be more productive than working when I'm waiting for your empowerment. Help me distinguish between faithful action and presumptuous activity that assumes you'll bless whatever I initiate. Teach me to receive power first, then go witness - not the reverse.

You ascended to prepare a place for me, to intercede for me, to reign over all creation. You're not inactive. You're working in ways I can't see. Help me trust your timing for the next thing, your empowerment for the assigned task, your return when the Father determines. I'm waiting. Come, Holy Spirit.
